At the end of the shooting season Anees Bazmee got a suggestion to shoot his 'Ready' in Srilanka and he did so.

A source says, “Salman is being treated like a Government guest, and Sri Lanka is reportedly paying for the hospitality for the entire unit.”

TAMANNA AWAITS FOR AWARDS




Tillalangadi starring Tamanna is all set to release.The glamorous actress is on cloud 9 now as she has been nominated in the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) category in both Tamil and Telugu for the 57th Idea Filmfare Awards 2009 (South) that’ll be held in the city on August 7.

"It’s such a great honour," gushes the actress, who has been nominated for Kandein Kadhalai (Tamil) and Koncham Istam Koncham Kastam (Telugu), "It’s great when talent in the cinema industry is recognised. I’m looking forward to the awards; am sure it’ll be a wonderful night."

Who, according to her, has been her best co-star till date? "As clichéd as it may sound, every actor that I’ve worked had unique individual traits," states the actress, who worked with Karthi in Paiyaa, Suriya in Ayan and Jayam Ravi in Thillalangadi, "All I can say that it’s been wonderful to share screen space and work with such talented people in the industry."

So, how does she manage to deliver hit after hit at the box office? "If anybody knew that, there’ll be just hit films all along! For me, things just happened. All I can say is that I’ve been very lucky."


How important in a heroine in Tamil commercial cinema? "Most Indian films have a love angle in them, and well, that cannot happen without a girl. If there’s no heroine in the film, who will the guy fall in love with?"

EXCERCISE FOR ME IS LIKE EATING: CAMERON



Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz says she undergoes a rigorous exercise routine to stay healthy and not to keep her structure skinny.

"Exercise for me is like eating, sleeping, and breathing. I'm consistent and when I'm not consistent, it shows up on my body. I get really skinny and I know it might sound like, 'Well, good for you.'

"But the body that people talk about is not me trying to stay slim, it's the one where I work hard to keep weight on me. Your body definitely does change," starpulse quoted her as saying.

DHONI AND SAKSHI ARE INVITED TO NEW ZEALAND FOR HONEYMOON



Newly and privately wed Dhoni and Sakshi Rawat were invited to New Zealand for their honeymoon by the tourism board of Queenstown.

Chief Executive of Destination Queenstown Tony Everitt quoted, "We are thrilled to invite Mr and Mrs Dhoni to Queenstown to spend their honeymoon with us. I'm sure this will be the perfect romantic getaway for them."

Dhoni's remarks about Queenstown during Indian cricket team's tour of New Zealand last year has madew the tourism department to invite them for honeymoon.

Dhoni said, "New Zealand is one of the most beautiful places, where people are friendly and very warm. It's definitely a place you want to visit once in a lifetime...if not for cricket, then may be a honeymoon. Whatever it is, take some time off and come to New Zealand."

Suresh Kalmadi, Commonwealth Games Organising Committee chairman is sure that the security measures taken up are highly looked up.

He has assured the High Commissioners and representatives of participating countries that all arrangements have been made to ensure a safe Games later this year.

Few countries which are going to represent are, South Africa, UK, Australia, Mauritius, Kenya, Jamaica, Singapore, Mozambique, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Gambia, Zambia, Bahamas and Malaysia.


Kalmadi said, "Good progress was being made on the preparations front for the Games and assured the delegates that all arrangements to ensure a safe Games were being made."

He added, "All venues are world class and would be completed well in time."

"The delegates expressed satisfaction over the progress made by the Organising Committee," he said.

MANICURE ON FINGER NAIL WAS NOT INTENTIONAL SAYS LOHAN



American actress, model and pop singer-songwriter, Lindsay Lohan has clearly told that the manicured message on her fingernail was not meant for the judge who sentenced her to jail and that it was just a joke.

She was scentenced to 90 days in jail because of her probation stemming from a 2007 DUI (Driving Under Influence).

She was spotted with a multicoloured manicure with "f**k u" on the nail of her middle finger.

She repeatedly said that the insult was not intentional at presiding judge Marsha Revel.

On her Twitter page, she wrote: "Didn't we do our nails as a joke with our friend? It had nothing to do w/(with) court... it's an airbrush design from a stencil."
